March Mindfulness of Phone Use and Screen Time

  • Do you catch yourself mindlessly reaching for your phone? 
  • Do you feel guilty when you find you’ve “wasted” time on your phone? 
  • Is the access to constantly upsetting news on your screens leaving you angry, fearful, and exhausted?
  • How many times have you tried using willpower, guilt or shame to curb your phone or screen use, only to find it never works? 


Join me for the month of March as we bring mindful awareness to the reasons we reach for our phone (or screen). Once you understand what patterns are being reinforced, you can learn to meet those needs in healthier ways, without beating yourself up. 


March sessions will meet on Zoom each Wednesday evening from 6-7pm PST. The zoom sessions will be recorded if you need to miss the live meeting time.


This One Month Mindfulness Group Coaching Package  includes:

  • Weekly sessions where we explore three common reasons we reach for our phone/screen. 
  • Tips for noticing which reasons apply to you and easy practices you can implement right away.
  • You are not alone in this! You’ll get regular check-ins from me as well as the support of being part of a group. Staying with one topic for an entire month allows us to take our time and successfully develop new habits and behaviors without adding to overwhelm.
  • During our concluding session we'll discuss next steps, how to maintain progress, and where you want to go from here.

Mindfulness Coaching

Learn to use mindfulness practices to bring a sense of balance back into your life. 


One Month Mindfulness Coaching Package  includes:

  • A one-hour initial session where we’ll look at what areas of your life feel out of balance and what areas would benefit from increased mindful awareness. Mindfulness simply means noticing the things that were already there that you've stopped paying attention to.
  • Together we’ll make an achievable plan to increase awareness and bring more balance, peace, and wellness back into your days.
  • You’ll get regular support check-ins and feedback to increase accountability and updates to the plan as needed for four weeks. It takes an average of 21 days to establish a new habit, but it can take much less than that if you make it fun!
  • A one-hour concluding session to discuss next steps, how to maintain progress, and where you want to go from there.


*The initial and concluding sessions can occur via phone call, video call, or potentially in-person at a local coffee shop  if it works for both our schedules.


*Check-ins can happen over text or email, whichever you prefer.

Yoga and Movement Classes

In-home yoga practice space.

In-Person Classes:

Monday 9:15-10:15am Gentle Yoga at the Inland Northwest YMCA (Central location)

Monday: 6:45-7:45pm Yin Yoga at Harmony Yoga Spokane


Hybrid Classes (in-person and on zoom):

Every other Thursday 7:30-8:30am Yoga for Strength and

9:00-10:00am Slow Flow Yoga at Harmony Yoga Spokane


Friday 9:30-10:30am Yoga for Active Living at Harmony Yoga Spokane


Virtual Class:

Tuesday 4:15 – 5:15 pm (PST) Gentle Yoga. This is a virtual class you can take from the comfort of your own home! In this all-levels class, I focus on easy range of motion, postural awareness, breathing, and relaxation. Contact me for payment and zoom link details if interested. 


Monthly Restorative Yoga

I teach a Restorative Yoga class on the first Sunday of every month from 4:00-5:15 pm at Harmony Yoga Spokane. This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.


Monthly Meditation

I facilitate a meditation practice on the first Sunday of each month at the Spokane Buddhist Temple from 9:30-10:00 prior to the weekly service. No charge, but donations to the temple are greatly appreciated.  I will guide participants through basic meditation techniques. No prior experience with meditation is necessary. 


Most weeks I  teach additional classes at Harmony Yoga and for the YMCA at both the Central or South locations. These could be in-person or virtual, yoga or body conditioning. Follow me on Facebook for the most up-to-date weekly schedule.
